Hey there! I'm Jayden Falldorf, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate in North Carolina (LCSW-A, P020780). I received my Bachelor of Arts in Music and Psychology from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln and my Master's in Social Work from North Carolina State University.
I am a firm believer that therapy isn't about feeling better all the time, but rather is a tool to aid you in living the fulfilling life possible, even when everything feels a bit (or a lot!) too intense. Working collaboratively, I can help you discover how to get your mind working for you rather than against you. In doing so, the many curveballs that life will inevitably throw your way will seem much more manageable. Everyone has the capacity for change, and my job is to help get you there!
I enjoy working with older kids, teens, tabletop, and adults (10+). I specialize in working with those struggling to cope with ADHD, anxiety, depression, excessive rumination, people-pleasing, and navigating major life transitions. I also work with those struggling with addictions to pornography or substances. My practice is trauma-informed, with a special focus on those processing or recovering from religious trauma. I also work quite a bit with couples and non-monogamous relationships, particularly when ruptures in communication are getting you stuck.
In my work, I primarily draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which is all about helping you navigate your beautifully unique mind with warmth and kindness, learning to shift our focus away from what is getting stuck and towards what matters most. I also draw from CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and IFS. When working with relationships, I utilize the Gottman Method.
When not at work, I greatly enjoy spending time at home with my wife and our two pups, hiking/biking outdoors (when the humidity level isn't at 1000%), brewing craft coffee, running table top role-playing games, or playing a bit too much Elden Ring. I am beyond humbled that you have taken the time to look into working with me. If you believe I can help you reach your goals, I would absolutely love to hear from you and set up a free, brief consultation.
